My Role
My role as a HypnoBirthing Childbirth Educator (HBCE) is to offer an immersive 5-week educational course, based on the HypnoBirthing® International Institute’s Mongan Method gold standard program and deliver additional 1-to-1 support within the curriculum. I also offer energy work to further support my birthing and non-birthing clientele. This service is provided outside of the HypnoBirthing curriculum and one does not have to be enrolled in the program to purchase this service.
I am not a hypnotherapist, counsellor or medical professional and do not deliver medical advice, diagnosis or prescription, nor do I interfere with the care provided by healthcare professionals. I do not offer mental health therapy, counselling or hypnosis scripts beyond those provided to me within the HypnoBirthing® program curriculum. All hypnosis scripts I use and provide to clients were written by hypnotherapists, specializing in birth hypnosis.
Scope of Practice
Through my training as an HBCE, I am equipped with knowledge on birth physiology in the absence of special circumstances and how to use the tools of the mind and body to support birthing people and their companions to activate a calm and gentle birth. This includes techniques such as guided and self-guided hypnosis, meditation, relaxation, visualization, physical touch and exercises, positions for physiological labour and birth, and how to work with birth hormones, along with evidence-based education for nutrition, breastfeeding, medical interventions, and building self-advocacy skills for decision-making in maternity care. I also hold a Masters in Public Health with a concentration on Maternal, Child and Indigenous Health, which affords me the ability to understand, interpret and communicate public health research literature but does not grant me license or ability to give you medical advice. I will not speak for you or tell you what to do in the birthing journey. I am here to help you discover and embody your ability to advocate for yourself and your baby from an informed and grounded place. Your body, your baby, your choice.
In addition to my HypnoBirthing practice, I am a certified energy worker. I graduated from the New Earth Energy School in 2024, where I completed 105 hours of immersive and hands-on training in energy healing as well as a 20-hour practicum, under the instruction and guidance of New Earth Energy School founder and longtime energy healer and meditation teacher, Ruth Lera. Along with other training courses in energy and meditation and my own continued practice of daily meditation and self energy work over the last 10 years, I also continue to train in the New Earth Energy Healing Advanced Study Group. As a New Earth Energy Healing practitioner, I tap into intuitive information for the purpose of healing for the highest good. I do this through meditation and intention and employ a number of techniques to clear, move and heal stuck energy. If you are interested in learning more about this modality or book a service, please check out my energy healing page.
In the event that the support necessary in working with my clients goes beyond my scope, I will refer out to the appropriate specialist.

The information, services, products, claims, topics, and materials on the Embodied Birth Website or delivered within 1x1 sessions and the HypnoBirthing® Program are provided “as is” and without any guarantees or warranties. This means that I cannot promise that the ideas or methods, whether stated or implied, will work for everyone; essentially, I am not responsible for any results you may or may not get from my offerings, and I will always encourage you to explore and find what resonates with you.
HypnoBirthing and energy healing are complementary therapies, meant to assist with personal relaxation or stress relief, not to for direct professional healthcare. While many of my clients have noted positive outcomes, I do not assert that these services can diagnose or cure any mental, physical, emotional, or spiritual issues. Energy healing and hypnobirthing can enhance overall well-being—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual—and it is safe to engage in this practice alongside any professional healthcare. Please seek guidance from a healthcare professional for any serious physical or psychological concerns you may have.
