how does hypnosis
for birthing work?
Hypnosis is simply the learning state of the brain, accessed through deep relaxation.
All behaviour is programmed first in the brain and then acted out in the body. Using hypnosis for birthing creates a safe, relaxed state of consciousness that helps eliminate the fear that causes tension in the body and promotes a calm, positive experience during labour. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis; you remain in full control, coming into greater awareness of yourself and connection to your body and your baby.

This is far more than a course.
As a certified HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Educator, I facilitate the transformative 5-week Mongan Method program, which is the original and most comprehensive hypnobirthing program available. Benefit from over 12.5 - 15+ hours of evidence-based education and hands-on support so you can birth in confidence, connection and safety. Conducted live on Zoom, the program focuses on powerful hypnosis techniques to promote relaxation, reduce fear, and prepare for birth. Participants will receive coaching and create a dedicated space for bonding with themselves, their babies, and birthing partners.

relax
I facilitate a space for deep relaxation and healing for the system. I give you the tools to find connectedness and ease between the mind and body so that come birthing day, muscles are relaxed and can perform their natural function with ease.

reflect
Positive birthing first takes finding out and focusing on what you want. You’ll also reflect on the limiting thoughts and fears that may have been picked up from society or previous experiences and learn how to overcome them.

Through self and guided hypnosis sessions, you’ll release tension and learn to surrender to the process of birthing that you were built for. This step is a crucial part of the process. By releasing fears, you can reimagine and embody the instinctive, calm birth you desire.
